Learning Support

Our Learning Support team is made up of highly experienced and dedicated professionals who play an essential role in the daily teaching and learning life of our school. Their work ensures that every child receives the guidance, encouragement and tailored support needed to progress confidently along his or her learning journey.

The team includes qualified teachers and skilled teaching aides who work within a Response to Intervention (RTI) framework. This evidence-based model allows us to identify student needs early, provide targeted support and continually monitor progress to ensure that every learner is given the opportunity to grow and succeed.

Assessment is central to our decision-making. We use a wide range of diagnostic, formative and summative assessments to develop a clear picture of each child’s strengths and needs. Parents are encouraged to be active partners in this process as we work together to understand how best to support each student.

Our Learning Support team collaborates closely with classroom teachers, offering assistance both within the classroom and through small-group or individual withdrawal sessions, depending on the level of support required. This flexible approach ensures that students receive help in the most effective setting for their learning needs.

Importantly, our Learning Support framework is not limited to remediation. It also provides enrichment and extension opportunities for students who demonstrate high academic ability or a readiness for more advanced challenges. In this way, we are able to nurture the gifts and talents of all learners and help them reach their full potential.
