Professional Development

Holy Saviour School has a strong tradition of providing high-quality professional learning experiences for all staff. We are committed to offering timely, relevant and well-designed professional learning that supports teachers in continually enhancing student outcomes. Professional learning at Holy Saviour School is job-embedded, practice-driven and ongoing.

Our Leadership Team carefully monitors current educational research, school-wide data and NESA requirements to identify areas of need and plan appropriate professional learning. These opportunities may include in-class peer modelling, collaborative programming, mentoring, coaching, team teaching, workshops and whole-school professional development days. Teachers also meet regularly with their supervisor or mentor to set, review and reflect on their professional learning goals.

Staff frequently collaborate to discuss new ideas and pedagogical approaches, analyse data, share theories and trial innovative strategies. Professional growth is seen as an essential part of teaching at Holy Saviour School. This commitment ensures that our staff remain highly skilled and that our students benefit from the very best teaching practices available.
